Description
Jack-in-the-Pulpit is a shade requiring species. They are found in rich, moist deciduous woods and floodplains. It will spread and colonize from an acidic corm over time.
The flower is an unusual green and maroon striped spathe surrounded by a fleshy, maroon-colored spadix that bears tiny embedded flowers.
