Description
A beautiful image of a white marble dam with water trickling over the top. This dam, built in the early 1800's, is the only white marble dam in North America. The water stored behind the dam flowed through a cement-covered Penstock to power the Hoosac Marble Mill below. The mill operated from 1851-1947 when it was destroyed by fire.
