Canterbury Shaker Village is a non-profit museum that was founded in 1969 to save the heritage of the Canterbury Shakers. Declared a National Historic Landmark for Its architectural integrity and significance, the Village has 25 original Shaker buildings that have been restored, 4 reconstructed Shaker buildings, and 694 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!
