Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

The Boott Mills in Lowell, Massachusetts were a part of an extensive group of cotton mills, built in 1835 alongside a power canal system in this important cotton town. Their founder was Kirk Boott, one of the early mill leaders in Lowell. Today, the Boott Mills complex is the most intact in Lowell and is part of Lowell National Historical Park. It houses the Boott Cotton Mills Museum.
The New England textile industry was in decline by World War I and collapsed after World War II; the Boott Mills ceased operations in 1958. In the late 1970s, they became a key component of the Lowell National Historical Park, largely because the complex stood virtually whole, unlike other complexes which had suffered fires, or selective or wholesale demolition, like the older Merrimack Manufacturing Company. Additionally, the Boott Mill still contains buildings dating from the 1830s, as well as containing new structures, dating closer to 1900. As such, it is a catalog of industrial development over t...

Welcome to my Fine Art Gallery! I'm Betty Denise, and I am a native New Englander. As you will see when browsing through my gallery my photography, and artwork, are very much eclectic. I search for beauty all around me in seaside and mountain landscapes, and in beautiful cities and towns here in the Northeast U.S.. I also love searching for character in rustic old buildings, and great old finds in regional antique shops. Hopefully, there is something here for everyone to enjoy or relate to. My goal is to help buyers, and viewers like you, appreciate the beauty of what New England, and beyond, has to offer. My hope is to create images that evoke emotion, appreciation, or nostalgia in my viewers. You can browse here, comment on, and...
