I had the pleasure of meeting "Buzz" Coleman of Albany, NH, the current President of Alvin J Coleman & Son Inc. He told me the story of how the company started in 1939 and progressed to the point where they built this Redi-Mix Plant in 1955. Although abandoned, the company still owns the license to operate this plant. "Why?" I asked, So they already have the option to build another plant at the same location in the future. In the meantime, he's enjoying the attention it gets from photographers such as myself that cannot resist it's character. I though I'd share the remnants of this bygone era with you as well.
